For agencies and care managers

Questions agencies ask

1. What does Nod First actually do?
A care manager says what happened after a visit, in plain words. Routine items go on the plan. Anything that spends the client's money or touches a medication becomes one text to the family member who decides; they tap yes or no, and the record keeps who, when, how much, and the exact words they saw.
2. We already use WellSky / AxisCare / AlayaCare / CareSmartz360 / Aaniie / ShiftCare. Why would we add this?
Keep it. Those systems run the roster, the clock-in, the invoice and the EVV file, and they do it well. None of them stores a family member's approval of a specific decision with who, when and the words; Nod First does only that, and sits beside your scheduler.
3. The families won't use an app.
There's no app for the family. They get a text with a link, one screen, two buttons. No login, nothing to install, and the text says which firm is asking and why.
4. What if the family says no, or doesn't answer?
A no is recorded the same way a yes is, with the words they saw, and your team sees it on the client's screen. A request nobody answers sits on the "waiting on families" list, oldest first, and the family gets a reminder; the record shows how long it waited.
5. Is this AI? Is it learning from our clients?
There's a language model in it, running on our own server, that turns ninety seconds of talking into a list of items. Nothing about your clients goes to a third-party AI service, and we don't use your data to train anything. Every item it produces is shown to your care manager before anything is sent.
6. Is it HIPAA compliant? Will you sign a BAA?
Yes, before the first real client goes in, if your firm is a covered entity; if it isn't, the same document works as a confidentiality agreement. The draft is ready and says on its face that a lawyer hasn't reviewed it yet; ours does before you sign.
7. Where does our data live, and can we get it out?
On servers we control, in our own database, with our own sign-in. At any time, and on day 31 of a pilot whichever way you decide, you get a full export of every client, task, request, approval and note as a file you can open without us, and we delete everything within seven days after that if you ask.
8. What does it cost?
$1,550 a seat a year ($129 a month, billed yearly). A seat is a care manager or a scheduler; clients and family members are unlimited. The first thirty days, with three of your clients, are free, and there's no card on file.
9. How long does it take to set up?
One 20-minute call. You pick three clients, name the family member who decides for each, and dictate the first note with us on the line. Your care managers start the next morning.
10. What happens when a family disputes something months later?
You open the client's record and read it to them: the request, the amount, who approved it, when, and the exact words they were shown. You can export that page as a PDF and send it. That page is the reason the product exists.
