About

The record home care doesn't keep.

I'm Georgiy. I built Nod First because my family is spread across time zones, and I've watched what happens when the person who has to say yes is asleep. Things wait. Small things become larger things while they wait. When they finally get decided, it's by whoever was awake, and nobody writes it down.

The name is Ukrainian. Догляд means tending: the ordinary, daily looking-after that families do for a parent, and that agencies do when the family can't be there.

I started with a phone for the parent and an approval screen for the family. The first long conversation with an agency owner turned it around. Every feature he wanted came down to the same condition: the family member is absent, can't be reached, and he's holding their authority without a way to prove it later. He didn't want faster. He wanted the receipt.

So that's what Nod First is. A care manager says what happened after a visit, in plain words. Routine items go on the plan. Anything that spends the client's money or touches a medication becomes one text to the person who decides. No app, no login. They tap yes or no. The record keeps who said yes, when, how much, and the exact words they were shown.

Why agencies

Care management practices and home care agencies already carry the family's authority. They bill by the hour, they get the 1 am call, and they're the ones a son phones in March to ask who agreed to all this. The family's yes is worth recording once for one household; it's worth recording every day for a caseload. That's why the agency is the customer and the family never pays.

How it's built

I built the web app and the iPhone app myself, on our own servers: own database, own sign-in, own language model. A client's medication list never leaves infrastructure we control. No outside money. The parent's phone reads the day aloud in large type and takes requests by voice; the agency's screen shows every client and what's waiting on a family; the family gets a text.

What Nod First is not

It's not a scheduler, and it doesn't replace yours. It's not a medical device, not a care provider, and not an emergency service; in an emergency, call your local emergency number. It doesn't decide anything: the family does, and the care manager sees every item before it's sent. And it isn't a way to train anything on your clients. Nothing about them goes to a third party.

The offer

Thirty days, three clients, free. On day 31 you decide; you keep the export either way. After that it's $1,550 a seat a year ($129 a month, billed yearly). A seat is a care manager or a scheduler; clients and family members are unlimited.
